It really keeps the bags compressed together to freeze them flat and keep them from falling all over the place. Its not quite wide enough for my motif milk bags so I have to have part of the bag bent to fit them in there. Also after the container has been in the freezer the suction cups occasionally have a hard time sticking to the bottom and you have to wipe them and move them around to get them to stick again.
