Put a lid on the pan and wait for it to cool to a temperature where you could hold your finger in it without burning your finger. Mix a tablespoonful of shop yoghurt with a little of the cooled down milk, into the metal container (I like to use Lidl's creamy yoghurt). Stir in the rest of the milk, put the lid on and check in 5 hours. Mine is usually done in that time but I might leave it longer to get a more tangy flavour. The lid on mine was cracked in the post but the seller has said he will send a new lid. I put a saucepan lid over it for now.
