It tends to read a bit hot, especially the higher the temperature and there seems to be no way to calibrate it. I live at 5200 feet, so I have to check all of my thermometers and adjust the temperature based on my elevation. This one still reads about 10 degrees higher than my heavy duty candy thermometers. If it was more accurate, it would be much nicer. It does clean up easily and the fact that it is silicone is nice.
