I found this little book to be quite good. The medical information conforms pretty much with what I learned on a recent Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED course. The book is not going to teach you to be an EMT. The information is current, concise, and well presented. It is well indexed and logically presented. There are quite a few photos, which I found useful and clear. Its small size makes it a natural for my small first aid kit. There are many large, more inclusive first aid manuals available on desertcart (I bought a couple of them). But they can be overwhelming if you're looking for a quick answer to a common first aid problem. This little guy is just the ticket. Late add: I have to say that the combination of ink and paper used to print the booklet leads to easy smearing by just holding the booklet in your hands. I also covered the front and back of the booklet with clear self-adhering plastic - makes for a sturdier booklet. Review: I bought this and a couple other like it to put with my hurricane kit. I realized that although I have the supplies I might need for basic medical care during an emergency to go along with a decent amount of CPR and first aid training, that these would come in handy. Both as a refresher or guide during a stressful situation and as a supplement to the training and experience I have. Its small, easy to carry around if you're hiking or traveling.
