It'll fit any hole you cut. Needs 1.75 x 6.5" **Q: Is this controller used only to make adjustments with, or is it a permanent replacement face?** A: Well, it's both. First, the PXA-H800 does not have any faceplate of it's own, it's meant to be installed somewhere out of sight, ie under the seat, in the trunk etc. The remote (RUX-C800) provides remote control access to the features of the processor such as volume, time alignment of speakers, crossover points, equalization, etc. Basically the remote gives you full control of the PXA and is required to operate. There is one exception. SOME Alpine head units can be used with the PXA and not require the remote, however you will not be able to control all the functions through those head units. You would have to use a PC with the PXA software running in Windows to configure the processor.
