Farberware Apple Peeler, Slicer and Corer, Small, Red

I had never heard of one of these before. I came across a good deal on this on Amazon and decided to try it out. What an amazing product! I am really impressed with the ability this product has two slice through apples and potatoes. This is a total game changer for making so many foods. This simplifies making apple pie’s and so much more. It can be adjusted to produce so many different results. It doesn’t come with very good directions, but it is fairly self-explanatory. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is the handle. It is very ugly, but more importantly not functional at all. It falls off very often and I find myself using it without the handle more often than with the handle.

It did stay attached to my counter tops pretty well, and the slicer and corer worked great. But it digs into the apple so deeply as to waste about the first third of the apple and then jumps out to the correct (more or less) depth of the apple and works well enough from there. Adjusting the blade was difficult and made no real difference anyway. I've already received a refund so the service from Amazon was top notch.

Great tool for apples and potatoes. Very easy to use and clean. Only thing I wish that they included was a spare blade for the cutter.

It is great to have when making pie or applesauce. All the women in my family have one an I am so happy to have mine. The suction isn't great but its not the end of the word.

I just used my new Farberware apple peeler, corer, slicer, and I absolutely love it!! What used to take me hours before with a knife, I accomplished and only one hour this morning. I now have a crockpot filled with spiced apples, slowly cooking applesauce and my entire dehydrator filled with spiced apples in such a quick time!! Too bad I can’t post how delicious my home now smells!

What a huge difference between using a paring knife and this incredible device!

This was horrible. One of the 3 spokes bent putting on first apple. We fixed it, but had issues. This must have been a defective unit because the small curved part that takes off the peel was cutting too deep. We adjusted the depth and it broke. I've had 4 or 5 feelers over the years and this was hands down the worst.

Product arrived in poor condition

I love this apple peeler I bought one years ago and gave it to my daughter, she still has it and it works great. Then I ordered one for myself and I love it. Very easy to use and clean, I would recommend it to anybody.

This looks like heavy duty metal, and the suction cup is great. But the loop-style blade and apple insertion and coring functionality isn't ideal. It requires a fair amount of force to turn the handle. Not much peel is removed with each rotation. I tossed this and replaced it with the Starfrit clear plastic peeler (which doesn't core, but is SO MUCH FASTER, even though it looks/feels like a plastic toy)

I think the adjustment on the peeler blade out of the box is good--it will remove very little pulp while getting all of the peel. The three blades have wing nuts so that you can use any or all of them at once. For apples, the corer and slicer blades are great too. You only need to cut the apple in half for pie slices. Soft mealy apples don't pare well, but firm juicy ones are fine. I haven't tried potatoes, but I'm sure the same restrictions apply. Pears should work ok. The only shortcoming is that the body could be sturdier because with pears I suspect it would start to bend a little. Oddly shaped apples have that effect too. The Farber is good value for the money. There are lots of videos on Youtube demonstrating various brands.

I held out for years before finally buying a peeler, slicer, corer. I batch cook apple pies and HATE the prep. This was fun, easy, quick and sturdy. It took a while to adjust to my preferred peeling thickness but it's great that you can adjust it. Haven't tried it for potatoes but that is next.

It was perfect. Cut the Apple quickly and stay auctioned to the counter the entire time I was using it. I peeled and entire sink full of apples in 6 minutes!!
