I also placed a bracket below the, "diverter reservoir," to hold the drain pipe in place, as I found the connection slightly loose. Instructions straightforward. I didn't bother cutting 30mms from the pipe I just dropped it further into the drain. I also placed a 2nd washer inside the water butt at the connection point, in order to ensure no leaks occur. Does it work? no idea the day I fitted it together the rain stopped!!! update: It rained today and the diverter works fine. update: had to disassemble as leaves had blocked diverter. Probably need a leaf guard in the guttering to stop leaves running from there down the drain pipe and into the diverter, otherwise some 6 months on it's still working fine. This then is attached to your water but using the hosing. **Q: Will this work with a 50mm downpipe** A: Hi. Afraid it is only for 65mm pipe. It would require a lot of messing about to convert it to anything else.
