I drill - minimum of 4” . If you don’t drill deep enough and bottom out the tool, you’re done **Q: Do these use 313 o rings?** A: I am not an o-ring guy, so I don’t know about the 313. Before I ever started using mine , I took some of the o-ring provided and matched them up with new ones at the store and bought extra’s. I haven’t broken to many, but I do have spares **Q: What size drill bit do you use with the 5/8 wedges** A: I have not used this set yet, but the old set of 5/8” feather and wedges that I have , I use a 5/8” bit. I am only sorry I did buy these sooner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great in breaking up exposed granite! *by S***O on October 31, 2019* We had some exposed granite rock we wanted to level out before adding turf. A bobcat with a big drill bit couldn’t break through it. Used a handheld rotary drill to drill holes and then these feather and wedges. Got some good chunks out and it did the job! One rubber part broke in the process.
