Hi -- I looked at my microphone just now to be sure. This mic has a standard slot, after unscrewing the whole tube, for one AA battery. That's it. Put in a AA battery and you can -- then / afterwards -- plug the mic into any 'mic' input on anything where there is a (1/8th size) socket / jack, or whatever they call it these days. I'm old(er) so alot of stupid names have 'replaced' what I am familiar with. But again, all it requires is a AA battery. [:-)]
