I don't know the answer to that. I just had the old units taken down and replaced with these. I've used them in many offices and our stores. The light is very good, non-glaring and gives a very even illumination. My cable assembly people are delighted with them and I like doing my accounts under them. I wouldn't buy anything different now that I've tried them. I have a couple of dozen.
