I would reccomend them easily, but be aware that the door spring is strong, so although they will catch rats easily and contain them, if you have small pets which could put their heads in for a look, if they activate the release, the door could, and more than likely will hurt them a lot. After 5 days of setting it i was in the garden when i heard it go off. Saw a young rat in there, rushed to get my gloves and a box and when i returned minutes later the young rat had escaped!! On examination there is a gap around the secondary entrance.
