Simply the perfect mouse. The only thing they could do better is the scroll wheel having the lean left and right buttons like the G5/G9. If you are looking for a cheaper gaming mouse look no further. I wish I'd found this before buying the others! No problems with acceleration (once you have properly tweaked windows)The program enclosed on the cd is used to set the two dpi settings, once you have done that you no longer need it. I have mine set to 400/1600.This is a must have if you want a precise mouse for fps bliss!NOTE: (added later) On some surfaces the lift off distance may be too high. None of the nonsense you see with other gaming mice like overdone driver packages and 20 programmable buttons sticking out in every direction; just a straight-forward, solid-feeling piece of kit that gets the job done well without any fuss.But this cannot be called a reliable mouse. All the negative reviews are for defective units, and it's clearly a pattern. I've given it two stars because even though I would never recommend the mouse to anyone, it really was excellent before it broke.
