Bamboo Studio 9-inch Bamboo Boats are the perfect addition for your next dinner party, picnic, or everyday use. Unique, elegant and easily held in one hand, they work wonderfully for salads, hot dogs, sushi rolls, or anything you can dream up.Bamboo Studio Dinnerware is made from the bamboo sheath. The sheath is a protective covering found on newly emerging bamboo plants. As the plant matures, the sheath falls to the ground and most often is unutilized. Our process collects these sheaths and then they are cleaned, boiled, and pressed into shape. The result is disposable/reusable dinnerware that is elegant, strong and 100-percent biodegradable. Bamboo Studio dinnerware may be reused depending on the care. Always hand wash and do not submerge in water. Use a minimal amount of water when washing and dry immediately. Microwave safe up to 3 minutes on medium heat.

- Includes 12 of our 9-inch bamboo boats
- We use the outer bark or sheath of the bamboo plant, the sheath is collected, steamed, and pressed into shape
- No dyes are used to alter the color, the bamboo is as close to it's natural form as possible
- Microwave safe, disposable, may hand wash for extended uses (do not submerge in water), dry immediately after washing
- Please note that our boats are measured length wise at the top of the boat and that the bottom of the boats taper down in size

These are made of thin bamboo strips, so they are somewhat fragile. I have been using them for my child and I to do crafts with. I separate out pipe cleaners, pompoms, paints, etc in them. I am unsure if they are food grade, but I can't think of many foods that would be light enough for them to hold anyway.Pros:InexpensiveMade of bambooAttractive (compared to paper bowl for example)LightweightGood size for small projectsCons:Not sturdyDisposable qualityI will continue to use the pack I have, but don't plan to purchase again.
