And of course some "Off Campus" character mentions and cameo's made this a fun Elle Kennedy read. Almost rivaling my love for "The Deal" and "The Score" 🥰

Anche con questa storia questa autrice colpisce ancora.questa volta ci troviamo di fronte a una finta relazione che ritrova coinvolti due protagonisti che non si possono tollerare a vicenda o meglio Diana non può tollerare Shane e nel corso dell’ultimo anno da quando l’ho conosciuto non ho mai nascosto la cosa.soprattutto non tollera il suo essere un playboy tuttavia ben presto scoprirà quanto in realtà Shane sia lontano dall’essere quel tipo di ragazzo.è vero l’ultimo anno l’ho passato insieme a fin troppe ragazze ma era un modo per superare la rottura con la sua ex dopo quattro anni di relazione ma ben presto nel libro arriverà alla schiacciante rivelazione consapevolezza che è inutile combattere quello che è, e lui è un ragazzo da relazione.lui vuole una fidanzata, una relazione seria e stabile ed è stanco di provare ad uscire con tante ragazze senza investirci nulla.è un tratto che ho adorato alla follia di questo protagonista.il suo essere un ragazzo da relazione e nonvergognarsi ad ammetterlo.lui Diana apparentemente non potrebbero essere più diversi e ci si potrebbe domandare come abbiano finito per ritrovarsi in una finta relazione: lui preso dal panico quando la sua ex si presenta la sua portami il suo nuovo fidanzato decide di improvvisare e fingere anche lui di avere una ragazza e chi se non la ragazza che abita alla porta di fronte alla sua? Peccato che lei non sia la tua più grande fan e questa finta relazione che doveva durare solo un giorno lo porterai mi scassi in un concorso di ballo. Ironia della sorte il che farà molto ridere anche Diana poco dopo si ritroverà nel panico a fingere di avere un ragazzo e sarà proprio Shane.quest’ultimo aveva usato Diana per fare ingelosire la sua ex, Diana invece lo usa per liberarsi del suo ex fidanzato che pare non voler capire la fine della loro relazione ed arriva a trasferirsi nel suo stesso palazzo.questo libro vi farà sbellicare dalle risate anche se tuttavia tratterà di tre delicati inerente alla famiglia, alle malattie, e agli abusi nelle relazioni.instaurano quindi tra battibecchi e battutine una finta relazione anche con i loro migliori amici e ce ne deciso a volerla portare ad un livello superiore: Quello di amici con benefici.perché per quanto Diana si è ostinata a negare l’attrazione che prova per lui c’è ed è palese.e l’hanno potuto curare nei due baci che si sono scambiati: 1 per un obbligo di un gioco ed uno per fare ingelosire la sua ex perciò Shane si inventerà un modo estremamente esilarante per convincere la sua ostinata finta fidanzata a portare le cose tra di loro ha livello fisico.enessuno dei due si pentirà assolutamente di questo nuovo livello. Shane ma sempre saputo che Diana non lo potesse sopportare, anche perché lei non ha mai nascosto la cosa e nel momento in cui lui diventa il suo nuovo vicino imporrà delle regole tra cui il nonno fraternizzare tra loro due è smettere di farsela con le sue compagne cheerleader. Tuttavia Shane si diverte troppo a portare al limite e a far innervosire la sua vicina decidendo quindi di inserirsi volente o nolente nella sua vita e nella sua routine con i suoi sorrisi e le sue battutine.ho apprezzato tantissimo entrambi i personaggi e le loro dinamiche.Shane e la quintessenza del bravo ragazzo, di quello puro di quello dolce.un ragazzo serio, che vuole una relazione, con la testa sulle spalle.ho adorato anche Diana sempre con la risposta pronta sempre a testa alta così forte sarcastica ma che tuttavia nasconde delle insicurezze dovute alla relazione con sua madre E ben presto si ritroverà a dover affrontare anche un ex tossico.

I did not expect to like this book so much to pull an all-nighter to finish it, but here we are. After finishing The Graham Effect, I must admit I wasn’t super interested in reading a story about Shane and Diana, their characters simply weren’t flashed out in the first book, and yet in The Dixon Rule I feel in love with both of them from the first chapter. This might be the first time when I don’t prefer a bit one protagonist over the other (usually always prefer the MMC, guilty as charged), they are so different and yet so similar and they are just perfectly perfect for each other. I just adore their development throughout the book. They grew together, helped each other reach their best potential, accept their vulnerabilities, face their fears and they became others best friend leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind they would last forever. They are just two pieces of the same coin and it has been quite a while since I felt about a couple like that. Don’t get me wrong, I adore, just adore Gigi and Ryder and have 0 doubt they will grow old together, their love is so beautiful and genuine, but with Shane and Diana it feels like it is a step beyond, like two pieces of the same soul finally joining together - the definition of soulmates I suppose. Can’t wait to read Will and Beckett’s book next. I’m quite intrigued to see how that why choose romance will be told. But I trust Elle. Every book in the Briar Universe is a piece of art and I am so happy we get to continue living in this world. Didn’t realise how much I missed it before coming back to it!

My absolute favourite aspect of Elle Kennedys execution of her Briar U Next Gen series is giving all of her main characters points of conflict, growth and plot arcs outside of their romance storyline. So often, contemporary romance lead characters finds themselves falling into the drama of 'Will they/won't they' plot without really letting the reader get to know them as individual people. Diana and Shane were gold on the page, their sparkle, banter and emotional connection was delightful. But what really drew me in was their individual plots. Both of them experiencing difficulty situations and becoming stronger and more confident people through the love, support and growth as a couple. And in closing, Fling or Forever needs to be a real television show - IYKYK.
