This is better built with an aluminum handle though. Review: Good for the price, good resistance, exceeded expectations - I was nervous about this due to reviews of other expanders from the same manufacturer so I was pleasantly surprised. It's obviously not going to be the same quality as a $200+ Baraban but I don't have $200. Pros: The springs seem to have good tension. Two on this is tougher than five "heavy" tubes on my rubber expander. This was a pleasant surprise as the reviews on their other expanders criticized weak springs. Length of springs is good. I am 6'2" with long arms and I can do a full straight arm pull apart. This might be a con to some but for me the one piece handles are a bonus as I don't like rotation when using an expander. It seems to have pretty solid construction as it is quite heavy. Cons: The handles seem to be a lower grade metal like they make the cheap taiji sword handles out of. They feel sturdy but also like they may be somewhat hollow. The clips are kind of a pain in the butt to change. I may try replacing them with mini carabiner.
