Until i moved into this flat i had only seen small siverfish less than 1/2 inch long and it didnt bother me. These thing were much bigger and gave me 'the creeps'. A very tiny gap round them but that is where they must have been coming from. Sprayed round the pipes and fingers crossed, no signs of them either dead, dying or alive for several days now. I also leave a stick of cinnamon in the shower and under the sink in the kitchen as apparently the silverfish don't like the smell of this. Whether true or not all seems to be working. We have had silverfish since we moved in 8 years ago. They are a nightmare and they multiply so quickly, which makes them impossible to get rid of. We have tried taped jars, lemon juice etc and nothing worked. Even exterminators have said they cannot get rid of them and suggested we air out the house as often as possible to reduce moisture.
