Review: O3 Producing Machine - Purchased for my Mobile Detailing business as a test unit compared to those that cost $300 more and I'm actually very happy I did. I run this for 30 minutes in most vehicles and the smell is gone. But the caveat is the vehicle is detailed which includes removing particulates from the surfaces. A: We bought this within the last 2 weeks. We are landlords and had a condo where the person had smoked 9 years inside the unit. Scrubbing, painting top to bottom, spending several hundred dollars to have the HVAC system cleaned did not eliminate the stale smoke smell. We let this ozone generator run continuously for two days and the smell was gone. We are 100% pleased. If it can eliminate our smoke smell, it should handle the gym clothes odor with no problem.

**Q: How long do you use it for in a car? Do you run the ventilation system in the car , recirculate, while it’s running?**

We put it inside, close doors and windows, operate for 15-30 minutes per time, and once or twice a week. Yes, we run the ventilation system in the car while it's running. It can also disinfect the air conditioning system. Last but not least, remember to open doors and windows to make sure the remaining ozone is consumed thoroughly before you get back in the car.

A: I had this same problem and ended up having to buy direct from Home Depot and then picked it up. For whatever reason Amazon wouldn´t ship it to me.

I've used this in multiple locations and it has worked every time. It eliminated the really strong dog odor in an entire house. You definitely need to remove the source of the odor to get the best results. I had to remove the carpet on the steps because there was no way to get all the hair out. Once that was gone I used the machine one more time and it cleared right up. Read the instructions. Remove people, plants and animals from premises before you use it.
