Had to buy my own!
The Aircast SP walker is an excellent product. Last year when i had my talonavicular fusion the local NHS trust (Sheffield) provided me with one of these, unfortunately i had to have repeat surgery on the same ankle this year and they gave me an obviously cheaper alternative which I would give zero stars, not sure of the make but had an integral pump which dug into my leg and gave little support around my ankle where it was needed most. Having used the Aircast previously and needing to mobilise with confidence i made the decision to buy my own via Amazon. My opinion is that the NHS should use the best product rather than the cheapest, thankfully i was in a position to buy this excellent product for myself. If you have a tendency to walk on your heel as i do you'll probably need a bit of extra padding such as an insole to stop your heel getting sore. Delivery was exceptionally fast and the boot was well packaged. DFB

Very poor item and even worse customer service
Very very poor item.. had it less than two weeks and it has already devolved a fault but what is worse the customer service is even worse and they are not prepared to do anything.. unfortunately we are now having to go to trading standards

Read my message properly ! I said I had the air caste for nearly four weeks. Then my plaster caste was taken off at the hospital. Then I put the air caste on for one day and it went flat. Before you make your comments read my message properly ! Thank you !

Great boot - does the job and more convenient than cast
I bought a slightly cheaper boot (medpro) before and returned it to get this one. Key differences: The strap system is so much easier. Straps are stichednon, only usign velcro to fasten, as opposed to who strap being velcro. The former makes it much easier and faster to asjust and tighten (and you wont accidnrtally lost a strap either) The boot is more fashionable. Looks hard core and high quality. Other one looked cheap. Two airpockets. I can definitely feel the increased support with my high ankle fracture at the place it needs to be.
