It's a wired controller. The included cable is 10 feet, which might not be long enough for some situations, but 10 ft is a pretty long cable. The cable is detachable, so if you play pretty close to the switch or want to use the controller with an otg cable in tabletop mode (with a stand that allows for that), you can use a shorter cable. If you need to go farther than 10 ft, I suggest just getting a wireless controller, buying a longer cable is probably not worth it. With all of that said, if you already have a PS4 or Xbox One controller, I recommend getting an adapter that allows you to use those with Nintendo Switch instead (if you're okay with not having the paddles). Bad design. *by A***N on October 6, 2020* The controller is great and works as good if not better than a pro controller. However you won’t go 4 months without one of the buttons sticking, to the point of insanity. No way to fix it as it’s a problem with the design. I’ve done everything to clean out the controller. After buying an entirely new controller and running into the same problem with the same button, I’ve come to the conclusion that the engineering behind the buttons causes them to stick after too much usage.
