Connected Security
One of the most striking features of the Level Lock+ is its discreet and seamless profile. Unlike other smart locks, the Level Lock+ is installed within the door, preserving the original look of your home's entryway. Installation is very straightforward. With minimal tools and expertise required, users can easily retrofit their doors with this intelligent lock, making it an ideal choice for both homeowners wanting piece of mind and convince from the smart features. Functionality-wise, the Level Lock+ includes a lot of the features you would expect. The app allows you to conveniently control access to their homes remotely, monitor lock status, and receive real-time notifications. It also is compatible with leading smart home ecosystems. Setting up with my existing Google Home was seamless. In terms of performance, the Level Lock+ has been reliable and responsive. The lock operates smoothly and quietly. The one down side is the battery performance, it uses a CR2 battery, and despite claims of a year, expect a few months at best with heavy usage. The Level Lock is a brilliant concept if your absolute priority is an invisible smart lock. The design is top-notch. However, the battery concerns and the concerning hollow bolt design (where the battery lives!) are things I would like to see In never versions. But even with those concerns the benefits the core functionality of smart lock and the ability to retrofit existing doors.

***NO MORE MATTER/HUB SUPPORT?????!?!?***
Wish I could leave less than one ⭐! Deceptive, Anti-Consumer Practices by Level Lock (Avoid This Brand) I’ve owned Level locks for years and was generally satisfied with the build quality and design, which is why I purchased another Level+ unit for over $300 — an already steep premium price compared to competitors. What I received is the exact same hardware model I’ve successfully used before, yet the company has deliberately crippled one of its most valuable features: native integration with SmartThings hubs. This isn’t a hardware limitation or technical issue. Older identical models connected to SmartThings without problem by installing the proper firmware. Level has simply chosen to remove that firmware support, forcing users into their newer (and more expensive) ecosystem. The hardware capability is still present in the device I just bought, but the company intentionally disabled it through software. This is textbook planned obsolescence and a blatant cash-grab. Instead of supporting existing customers who have invested heavily in their products, Level is punishing loyalty by breaking core functionality that worked reliably for years. At $300+ per lock, customers expect long-term support and compatibility — not deliberate feature removal to drive upgrade sales. What makes this especially infuriating: Smart home integration is the entire reason to buy a $300+ “smart” lock in the first place. I now have a very expensive deadbolt that is significantly less useful than previous versions of the exact same model. No warning was provided at purchase that this critical SmartThings feature had been removed. When I contacted customer service about the issue, they were willing to offer me a laughable $20 discount toward purchasing their new model for $400!!! What a joke. After I’ve already spent over $300 per lock and more than $2,200 on the entire Level lock system throughout my house, this insulting “offer” shows exactly how little they value long-term customers. This behavior is unacceptable. It demonstrates deep disrespect for people who trusted the brand and built their smart homes around Level products. If they’re willing to disable paid features on existing hardware and then throw pennies at loyal customers to push expensive upgrades, what’s next — mandatory subscriptions, sudden bricking of locks, or dropping support entirely? I’ve completely lost trust in Level. I strongly recommend avoiding them and looking at alternatives from brands that actually respect their customers (Yale, Schlage, and others offer comparable or better functionality without the bait-and-switch tactics). Level, you had a good product line. By removing features customers paid for and relied on — and then insulting long-term buyers with pathetic discounts — you’ve turned a loyal customer into someone who will never buy from you again and will actively warn others. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Do not buy from this company!

Open the door with your phone
The Level WiFi Smart Lock is a sleek, minimalist smart lock that blends seamlessly with traditional doors, offering keyless entry, app control, and remote access without the bulky appearance of other smart locks. It’s easy to install, fitting into existing deadbolts, and integrates well with Apple HomeKit, making it ideal for iOS users. While it boasts solid build quality and a high-end feel, it’s on the pricey side, with occasional WiFi delays. Overall, it’s a great choice for design-conscious users who value simplicity and aesthetics.

Well, it’s elegant. But keep that key.
Bought and installed in November 2024. Connectivity has been challenging right along. My house wifi is iffy on outside my house so I have always excused it for not “seeing” me. Then last night, I got home to find my “devices” are gone from the app as if I had never installed them - poof. They have responded to my email promptly and I have sent answers to their questions. Perhaps they will be able to help me resolve this, or perhaps they will replace, but I will say - this is not the experience I was expecting. Way too much work. Probably going back to the clunky older style locks.

Lock itself is perfect, the Level Connect is problematic
This is a solid product, though just a bit overpriced IMO - The lock itself works pretty well, I can lock/unlock it with my phone no problem and added it to my Apple Wallet using Home Keys and it works pretty reliably, you do have to make sure the deadbolt has a perfectly straight and clear path though, since it seems the motor isn't very powerful and if it faces any resistance at all then the app will tell you it failed to lock. Otherwise, it looks good, works well, and overall I'm satisfied with that aspect. Sharing keys with my roommates/friends also works very well, it just texts them a link and once they download the app they have the key already, nice and easy. The Level Connect however is causing me issues - that is the piece that is required to connect it to Alexa/Google Home, or to lock/unlock the door when i'm not home. I go through the setup step by step and it tells me everything is working perfectly and setup succeeded, but when I look at the device in the app it shows the status as "Updating..." indefinitely and I cannot use it. I learned it needs to be connected to a 2.4GHz network, so just know that if your network is only 5GHz then it will not work(most networks broadcast both using the same Wifi name nowadays). Otherwise, it seems to me like their network infrastructure is a bit spotty, I'm currently unable to log into my account on my computer, and trying to reset my password doesn't send me an email like it says it should. Maybe some of their services are just down right now, maybe this happens often, I don't know. But for now, I am unable to use any of the functionality that requires Wifi and I have no idea if I ever will. I will say though, I contacted support a couple times and they were quick and easy to get a hold of and were very helpful, so they have that going for them. 5/5 for the lock itself, 1/5 for the Level Connect, so they even out to a 3/5 for me. If you don't care about remote locking or telling Alexa/Google to do it for you, just save a few bucks and get the lock without the Level Connect

Great Lock and App, HomeKit still stinks….
Very nice lock, high quality and easy to install. Level lock app works great as well. As usual Apple HomeKit suXKs and won’t connect.

Works well with iPhone and Apple Watch
I purchased the level lock + just over 4 months ago and it works as advertised. I have used my iPhone and Apple Watch (Homekit) with few problems. I am buying another level lock plus to replace the other deadbolt at my house. Obviously, I’m pretty happy with the one I have. The initial battery lasted about 4 months with a decent amount of use. We have people in and out 7 days a week, but not a huge number of people. I also had it on range boost when first using, which uses more battery. I have since disabled the range boost, which was not necessary. Visitors will not even realize that the lock is electronic unless you show or tell them. We have had visitors, including my octogenarian aunt, who never realized that anything had changed other than needing a new key. The lock uses a standard Schlage key, which is interesting because the lock it replaced looked almost identical and uses a Kwikset key. This means I cannot just rekey this or the other locks because the keys are different. If you want to rekey the level lock plus, I recommend taking it to a locksmith before installing. The locksmith near me estimated $25 - $30 U.S. I will update this after I install the next. The only problem that I had was that the strike plate was slightly larger than the existing one, which may be 20 – 30 years old. It was a very easy fix following an internet instruction video and using a mallet and chisel [something I would not have guessed.].

Buen Chapa, solo falta puente homekit
Me gustó mucho la chapa, lástima que el puente que trae level connect NO es compatible con HomeKit, la chapa SI el puente NO, espero actualicen en un futuro

Good quality but quite delicate
Just one battery so it can’t last too long and also the motor can’t have enough torque.

I was sold me a fake lock. NOT Plus!
I purchase this because I wanted to use the Apple home key, after multiple attempts of connecting to home kit failed, I called Level support and after they checked the serial number and home kit code, they confirmed that while the box and package are indeed Lock + however the actual physical lock and hardware is level lock touch (the cheap one)! I paid $540 plus tax to receive an$250 item!
