I accidently left it on and burned out my coil and condensor as constant hot power over time without start will burn these out (FYI). Decided to get rid of the kill switch and bought this keyed switch set (along with a 6volt coil (positive ground) and a condensor). Found where the original key space was on the steering column, got the old one out, and put this one right in the same hole, no modifications needed. Replaced the coil and condensor and the tractor started right up!!! Key only comes out when the tractor is off. The chair ,being electric, is about 250#',s alone plus the weight of the platform. Being concerned about power supply and wife sizing i used a clip on amp meter to find it was drawing 9,amps throuh 8 gauge wire running from the battery directly to lift. I have stayed in the chair to text if the lift would handle all the weight. I am about 165#s more. I did not test the a amps then but I about a 4 min cycle time the switch did not get warm or heated at all. Oh by the way, the key switch is straight in line, no relays or such. I hope this helps.
