I put cool water in for the first batch of ice, and the cubes were thin. So, I dumped the cubes back into the water tank to get it really cold, and then BINGO! I got more normal sized ice! It’s more like little ice cup, than cubes. I’ve run it thru three more fill-up and it does make a nice amount of ice. I put the ice into a gallon reusable plastic bag, and filled up a fourth time. I’ve almost filled my small white freezer tray. You’ll want to shake the freezer tray after of few minutes of the cubes being in the freezer or else you end up with the ice all frozen together. The maker is pretty quiet and it takes about 8 minutes for it to form ice. I transfer the ice to the freezer asap, or it will melt in the machine. I’ve been running it a couple of hours and it’s been very consistent! I’m glad I took a chance and look forward to using it a lot!
