## Description

Cosmos-wrangling Americana upstart Israel Nash returns from Texas Hill Country with his Silver Season, a deeply gorgeous and wholly immersive nine-song set that plays less like an album, and more like a cross section of time and space. The man's fourth LP ventures farther down the acid-soaked trail blazed by 2013's Rain Plans, arriving in lush and expansive territory. Here, this Missouri son sounds more assured than ever, supported by his highly capable band and production inspired by psychedelic greats. Israel Nash's Silver Season is best played loudly, and sounds wonderful in headphones.

Review: Israel Nash. Silver Season. - Great cd! Good seller! Arrived on time and well packaged. Will use seller again. Thanks.
Review: Silver Season gets a Gold Star - OK, it's not Rain Plans II. But is that what we need or what Mr N wants to give us ? I suspect not. Rain Plans was a slow burner and consequently I have bided my time before posting a review of Silver Season. I've looked at other reviews here but don't read the music press so this is simply my opinion. This is another strong, strong album. Don't listen to it in your car, you'll miss a lot of the action. It's well produced and all the better for being a bit cleaner sounding than Rain Plans. Based on the evidence the studio they built to record this album can be judged a success. It's hard to pick a favourite track here due to the overall strength. If I was pushed I'd probably plump for L.A. Lately (particularly nice bass work) with Strangers a close second. Overall the sound seems to have evolved/matured since RP. Probably as a result of the touring schedule. Quality vocal harmonies are liberally distributed throughout and the combination of pedal steel and psychodelic tinged guitar is better than ever. It's not entirely cheese free, but life would be pretty dull without cheese. Go and see em live next year: you won't be disappointed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good

This bears repeated listens and improves over time. Very Neil Young-like but what is wrong with that? Overall a very good composite album.
