From unboxing for fully assembled and battery inserted took about 15 minutes. The parts, while plastic, feel sturdy. This is important because it comes with a stool. And my kids like to hit thing very hard...It took a little time for the kids to get the hang of it but after they did, they has a blast. Just started playing the music (preset buttons) and banging on the set. Kept them busy for a good amount of time!You can also change the drum sounds. The microphone works but not super well as it can have some feedback noise but good enough I guess.
