Follow the instructions (turn all the way to end then set time!) And it works perfect. Not super loud and obnoxious, just enough for the reminder. Timing seems accurate. Magnet stick right to stove hood so its always there when we need it. The kids can use it to! And NO batteries!!!!

It quit ringing after dozen of uses. Timer still works, but when time comes it makes a click instead of alarm sound

I like the magnetic feature and looks and has a good loud buzzer but if you don't read the directions you will not get it to work. Odd. Have to turn it clockwise and then back counter clockwise to where you want to set it too.
