The best thing you could do for that is use this in conjunction with an aeration system. Some aeration kits are expensive, however we were able to shop around and find a complete kit for about 400 bucks that blows micro bubbles (looks like a synthesizer drum pad). We throw it in by our shore every summer after mother day, and add this remover. After being consistent for 3 years we have no muck or algae. It does not happen instantly. As the summer goes on you'll notice a slight difference. After 3 summers it is a HUGE difference **Q: my pond is roughly 100 feet by 75 feet and 8 feet deep. I have a lot of sludge in the bottom 4-5feet of it. will it work?** A: It should still work, but not all at once. Expect to redose every week or two for a few weeks. My small pond had about 8” of muck and leaves, I can see the bottom now. **Q: Will this work on a 12,000 gallon koi pond? IF so, how much per treatment? (I have lots of muck to clear!)** A: I think it should work. I use it in small ponds that are about 10 ft. x 20 ft. and about 2 feet deep.
