They stick securely to the back of the earlobe and do not come off unless taken off. I can now wear earrings again and loving it.If you are buying them for the first time, I'd advise starting off with post earrings. Easier to push through the backing. I can wear any type of earring except for real heavy earrings only because my ear lobe is so ripped. But I think they would be great if you wanted to wear heavy earrings for a night out.Also, when you first wear them, they may make your ear lobe itch. They did me at first, but it was only for a day or two. Make sure you change them out daily and that your ear lobe is completely dry before applying.Don't get frustrated if you can't place it exactly at first. Keep trying, it's worth it. I don't need a mirror any more. I just stick one behind my ear lobe, put on a cute pair of earrings, and off I go.I just bought three more boxes.
