Review: Worked perfect after…. - Other than the wires being wired backwards meaning brake light was on until I pulled brake lever then it shut off till release. I just had to swapped the wires around.

This is the third switch I’ve put in my 02 XL1200C. Those damn control covers are a royal PITA. This switch comes with 5 feet of excess length, which I assume for some bike it might be needed. Mine only needed a few inches. (Also what she said). I did not expect this to have a plastic sheath/heat shrink with it, but to my surprise, it did! I’ve never had to install one of these and NOT needed some kind of shim behind switch housing. Either shim it or brake lights stay on all the time.
