Using Mr. MARK SOFTER together with Mr. MARK SETTER (which gives decals greater adhesiveness) makes it much easier to affix decals to plastic models. First, the area to which the decal will be affixed is painted and the decal is applied. After air bubbles are removed by pressing on the decal with a cotton swab, a coating of Mr. MARK SOFTER is applied and allowed to dry. Because the decal now has greater adhesiveness, adhesive silvering (the floating and shiny quality of the clear parts of decals) can be firmly affixed to uneven surfaces. It is perfect even for poorly made decals from Eastern European models. Decals have better adhesiveness if the painted surface is prepared to have a glossy appearance, and they gain an appearance that suggests they were drawn by hannd.

So I got this product, Mr. Mark Setter. Decals are also called water-slide decal or sometimes slide-mark in Japan where this product is made, and that's why it's a "Mark" setter. But anyway it's a glue for decals with some gentle softer in it. The front label says "Slide-mark softener/glue Mr. Mark Setter, let decals stick securely. It softens slide-mark and glue component sticks slide-mark strongly. Some decals may become too soft. Try with a piece of decal you don't need first". It works really well for tiny decals. The model is 1/24 and everything is so tiny and I need to slide a decal over a surface to place it where it should be. So I apply just a small amount of Mr. Mark Setter on the spot where I want a decal, then place the decal, wiggle it and find a perfect spot and absorb excessive water with a Q-Tip. It softens decals and helps decal to stick well to the surface but not to the point where it becomes wrinkly or torn. Some modelers say that this dissolve a lacquer paint layer and some say it doesn't. I didn't have any issue with surfaces with Mr. Color. My brother who deceased this summer was a first generation "Gun-Ota" back in late 70's, claimed my room in my parents' house as his "colony for Gundam model production". We were not very close in his late years but I wish I could ask him for tips of making scale models, at least let him know that I'm now working on my first scale model and enjoying it.

**Q: Is this to keep stickers and decals in place?**
A: in my experience, this work with the gundam model's decals, these are really thin decals, but it's not a strong glue, it work better when you apply this in the plastic of the model kit, (it seem no to be so good in painted areas) ...at least in my experience...(sorry for my english)

**Q: There are two types of product packaging with green and blue. what is the difference between the two?**
A: These two are different products with different but related uses. Mr. Mark Setter (blue) is a fluid you apply over the part surface (that is, assuming you are working on a plastic model such as Gundam kits) you wish to decal. This is supposed to make the decal bind better. Mr. Mark Softer (green) is sort of like an acid that "melts" the decal on the part to give it a more borderless finish and further secure it. People's opinions regarding this may differ, with some saying its optional to use both whereas others saying both are essential, but the general consensus is that the Mark Setter fluid is less important.

**Q: Is it milky or clear liquid**
A: More milky. Once you put it on it is clear though

**Q: Dose this  mr. mark setter bottle, gsi safe to ship in airplane ?**
A: Probably not as airlines have strict rules against carrying chemicals in glass bottles. This setting solution is in a glass bottle and they will see it as a dangerous unknown liquid
