It is absolutely perfect for when you need something warmer than your regular quilt, but lighter than fall / winter fluffy comforter. I was also iffy about the fitted sheet because it didn't look like it would fit my mattress. Wrong again - perfect fit! I am now thinking about ordering another set in a different color. Update - it did great in the wash. I followed manufacturer's instructions (wash on delicate, dry on low) and the comforter came out perfectly fluffy.

This comforter is absolutely beautiful. So soft, so comfortable and so elegant looking. I got way more than I would expect for this price. It is light weight, but not too light. It’s like the perfect weight. I’ve been disappointed in the past when buying California King size only to get it home and it does not fit. This is truly a California King fit and it fits beautifully! Thinking of buying another color just to have on hand. Love it.
