Why use a pointing trowel instead of a brick trowel?

A MARSHALLTOWN Pointing Trowel has a small, pointed blade that fits into mortar joints and tight corners, so you can fill cavities and repair joints that a full size brick trowel is too big to reach.

Why does a one-piece forged pointing trowel matter?

MARSHALLTOWN Pointing Trowels are forged from one piece of high carbon steel, so the blade and tang have no weld or joint that can work loose or fail as you press mortar into a joint.

Why is the blade tempered and ground?

Each MARSHALLTOWN Pointing Trowel blade is tempered, ground and polished from heel to toe, which gives it the flex to pack and finish mortar joints and a clean, smooth working face.

Which pointing trowel size should I choose?

MARSHALLTOWN Pointing Trowels run from 102 x 51 mm to 178 x 76 mm. Choose 102 or 114 mm for tight joints and fine detail, 152 mm as the all round repointing size and 178 mm for bigger repairs.

Which handle should I choose on a pointing trowel?

MARSHALLTOWN Pointing Trowels come with a DuraSoft soft grip that helps reduce hand fatigue, a DuraCork cork composite grip that stays secure wet or dry, or a classic hardwood handle.
