I bought them mainly for wallet-sized pics and pics printed from my HP Sprocket printer. The Zink pictures from the Sprocket printer are smaller than wallet-size but they still look good in the frames. The clear cover on the frame is a nice, thick plastic, not the cheap, thin plastic you get with the magnetic frames at Wal-Mart. It's a little hard to slide the pictures in if you haven't pulled the plastic cover up from the frame, so do that first, and you should be in good shape. The entire back side of the frame is magnetic but they are not strong magnets. They can't be used to hold pieces of paper to the fridge. But they hold well on their own, and they look good. So far, they have worked well on the fridge, a metal filing cabinet, a metal bookshelf, and a magnetic marker board. I fully intend to buy the 4x6 and 5x7 ones in the future.
