I decided to make the soup again using my new toy, and wow what a difference! The slicing of potatoes, celery, onions, zucchini, and about a dozen other veggies was a breeze. Everything looked great and had a very uniform size and shape. I threw everything in the pot and waited on the final product. I'm very happy with the purchase of this mandolin, and for around 15 bucks it was a real time saver. Clean up took a few minutes, but was well worth it for the time saved on actual slicing and dicing. Id highly recommend adding this tool to your kitchen. I should have sent it back but I discarded the box prior to using it, my mistake. The blades pictured are not the blades that I received. The product I received doesn't look like the one pictured. The only nice thing I have to say about it is that it stores nicely in the back depths of my cupboard where horrible appliances go to die until they are unveiled for our Biennial goodwill donation which this one is destined.
