Medium at most. *by K***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 July 2020* This is supposed to fit XL dog with up to 42" chest.It's labeled XL but wouldn't comfortably fit anything bigger than a medium in my opinion. Front to back is only 12" and the supporting padding only 9" at widest. See pictures.It seems to me that they have just increased strap length and nothing else for the larger size harness. Even fully adjusted it still wouldn't touch a 42" chest.Could be ok for smaller breeds. Looks ok quality.Had to return it unfortunately. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by S***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2016* I bought this for my Patterdale Terrier who had been suffering from chaffing from his other harness which was made of very rough material. This harness is very strong and secure, yet made from lovely smooth fabric and padded to avoid rubbing. So far I have had no problems, and his armpits have nearly cleared up after using this for just a couple of days, so no chaffing! I would definitely recommend this harness and will defiantly use this brand in the future. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ front clip stops pulling *by D***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2016* Great harness. Had a similar one but clips broke - much stronger clips on this one. Would give it 5 stars if there was a release clip on head section. I have a dog who managed to get a foot stuck through head hole once and another time got stuck it on a tree branch.
