Tried older separate accelerometers, gyros, and magnetometer devices and they didn't work nearly as well as this combined board. Part of the reason is the sensor fusion is done in the device. I am impressed with the accuracy and stability. Will be part of a location hold system in a kayak, along with GPS, and existing trolling motor controls. Be very careful to keep the device away from iron and motor cables that will change the reading. This one will be wireless, placed away from the electronics and metal. ESP32c3 super mini with built in OLED serves to read and transmit the data. I2C connnection to microcontroller is easy. SPI connection is non standard, requires 3 extra wires to work and code modification. SCL is CLK, SDA is MISO,AD0 is MOSI, CS is CS, (INT , RST, and PS0) are the additional wires needed. For SPI, tie PS1 to 3.3v, PS0 wire to MCU.
