As PRS themselves often note, the guitar will be ready to play because they set them up to be so. Mine was certainly ready to play with a very good setup. However - if you're a person who likes their action [fairly] low you may find the factory setup does not suit you. Based on feedback I have heard from others, this is frequently the case. The guitars are definitely ready to play, but the setup may not be what a given individual prefers because the factory setup is with an action height some will consider too high. Must add this here - I ordered one of these and the pickup selector switch was defective. Amazon had a new one to me in short order and the return could not have been easier. The switch on the 2nd guitars works fine. Great customer service. Great guitar. **Q: Is the tremolo arm included?** A: Yes, along with the associated set of tools. **Q: Is the guitar damaged at all?** A: Mine had no visible damage to the guitar body, neck, etc. My first one did have a defective pickup selector switch, but I returned it and the replacement worked perfectly (replacement guitar, not switch).
