There are 6 COMPLETE PAIRS--12 socks. There are 2 pairs each (4 socks each) of the 3 colors shown. **Q: is the eleastic at the top very stretchy? i HATE tight elastic that hurts my leg and leaves a mark** A: The inside circumference of the top band is just 6 inches when unstretched (that's for the size 12-15). My calf is 15.5 inches. If I pull these socks all the way up, I might as well apply a tourniquet. I wear them below the calf where they must stretch to only 12 inches and they still leave a deep mark. If your calf is any larger than 12 inches, I'd guess you will find these uncomfortably tight. **Q: Do these wear in the heel & toe?
