I am a veterinarian myself and have tried every anxiety medication and supplement under the sun. She had some improvement after being on fluoxetine for a few months but still struggled with basic things like eating consistently, loud noises, and wanting to play. It took me sitting under a table hand feeding her for 15 minutes to get her to eat every day. I had already tried her on other behavior supplements before trying Solliquin that did not have much of an effect. She is still on fluoxetine but I decided to try a bottle of Solliquin. By the end of the first bottle I could tell a huge difference in her behavior. She was much more confident and happy. She brings me toys now and initiates play. She hasn't missed a meal since starting the Solliquin and is actually excited about eating for the first time in her whole life. She can relax in previously stressful situations like by a camp fire, or with my nephew swinging on swings beside her and flying his drone around her. She has been happier on this product than I ever thought she could be, which means everything to me. I wasn't expecting much from this product but I am a believer now. After she was on this for about a ... *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2018* I purchased these because I have a rescue dog that is terrified of everything, including people and especially men. We got her from a shelter where the trainer there said, in all of his 25 years of training, she was by far the hardest case he has ever seen. With that being said, we tried everything. She did bond with me after around 2 months (and acted close to a normal dog when no one was around), but still barked and growled at the hubby. So through the past few years, we have tried working with trainers, vets have tried putting her on a few different medications, including Prozac. None have worked. So I actually saw this on a show called "lucky dog" and thought, cant hurt to try. Well, this stuff is awesome! After she was on this for about a week or two, she stopped barking and growling at the husband, and will now even go sit with him and paw him for pets! This stuff definitely has made a huge difference. When we have missed doses, she does revert back to her super scared self, so I know this is definitely making a difference. Very happy with this product. We adopted our dog at 3 years old; he's very sweet but has major separation anxiety and becomes very frightened if he hears fireworks, thunder or strange and unfamiliar sounds like someone walking on the roof. His anxiety seemed to be escalating in intensity and frequency even with us and hit defcon warp speed last year when left with friends who we have traded dog sitting with for years.Our dog adores and knows well our friends, their home, property and especially their golden who is like a littermate to him. After last year's behavior, we didn't feel comfortable leaving him with them but they insisted, so we went to a new vet beforehand and asked advice. Leaving with a prayer as we left our dog and his arsenal of medication, we didn't know what to expect but the results were beyond our wildest expectations.Our dog behaved normally and happily w/us gone on half a pill at each meal and a composure and five mg of melatonin at dinner. That was it; they never had to dip into the heavy drugs. Now that we are home and after Independence Day fireworks, we've dropped the melatonin and are reducing the composure and may eliminate those depending on how he does. It's wonderful seeing him display his personality without being hungover and without the debilitating anxiety and nervousness that beset him before. We couldn't be happier with the results and recognize this is something our dog will need to be on his entire life, with other items added as needed. Addendum: Our friends did deploy the use of a water spray bottle the first couple of days while the medication was kicking in.
