The backing is about 3mm thick, which makes it more than enough to keep it solid but lightweight. Hung it with a single nail onto the wall and it has not moved or dropped. Delivery was good and it arrived really well protected in a tv sized box with lots of padding, however one of the corners was still mildly damaged, but it's nearly imperceptible and it might have not even been done during delivery. I ordered the (very particular) movie poster size and the fitting is perfect to the millimetre. The price is steep (for me anyway) for this size, but I believe it's well worth the investment, and I rather pay a bit extra to get the quality you deserve, and this item did not disappoint. 5 Stars.
