Just What I Needed
This book may very well be the last “diet” cookbook I ever purchase, unless Robyn writes another one! Amazing, simple, informative and best of all, there’s no calories listed anywhere. This is about eating real, healthy, unprocessed food. I have been following her guidelines for a week and feel wonderful. No more belly pain, bloating, feeling hungry or even too full. The recipes are incredible in that you would never think a collard green roll up would taste as fantastic as it does! She changes your mindset and makes you think outside the box. Best of all, you start making healthy choices because you WANT to! This isn’t about losing five pounds overnight. Want to be your healthiest you? You need this book!
"Where to start?" I ordered this book after listening to Robyn's lecture in my IIN class and hearing her on an IG chat with Lauren Kleban. Robyn was engaging, authentic and obviously knows her stuff. I ordered both of her books "Thin from Within" and "Go with Your Gut" thinking they would be great for my library, maybe a few good recipes and possibly something to share with my health coaching clients. So "where to start?" I literally opened the book to page 18 that headlines "Start Where You Are" ! Okay then, so I did - I needed to figure out a meal for that evening, thumbed through and found an amazing recipe for Chai Gingerbread Cookies - MEAL, I need a MEAL! (The cookies were made a few days later and even though I am not a "sweets person" they were absolutely amazing!). So for the meal - Spiced Carrot Soup and Simplest Salmon. Super easy even for a busy person like me who is not in the kitchen often! Next day was Kale Skillet Spanokopita... After checking out the recipes, trying a few and hearing from others who had listened to Robyn & Lauren's IG chat who were super excited about the 3-Day reset and other parts of the book, I then started reading from the beginning. While the book is titled "Thin From Within" - this is definitely not just another diet book - this is about listening to your body and learning to nourish it according to your body's needs. Even health coaches need reminding of this from time to time as we try out different dietary theories or are so busy that we are on auto-pilot, feed and forget to listen! I usually leave the cooking to the Husband - Robyn's approach to food and nourishment, plus her delicious and fun recipes have motivated me to be more adventurous in my cooking endeavors (i.e. making pickles and sauerkraut, pumpkin breakfast cookies & Rockstar Veggie Burgers!). Robyn's method of listening to your body, your digestion, your gut has made a profound change in my daily routine and in particular my digestive health. While I eat clean and am in overall good health, I knew that I could do better - Robyn's method has put me on a path to better. I have given this book to several friends and clients, all who rave about Robyn's realistic approach to creating balance in our bodies that can help us shed points, reduce stress and help you to be your healthiest you. I highly encourage anyone who wants to make a huge change or even the slightest of improvements in their health to consider purchasing and reading Robyn's books - your body and your life will thank you!

Best Book!!!!!
Hi, I read this book a while ago but keep coming back to it. It isn't just a cookbook but also a self healing and information book. It tells you lots about gut health, how to heal from within, and be your truest self. For a while, I had really bad IBS and was also going through some changes with my family and an eating disorder that I had for 3 years and I was so lost. I didn't know what to listen to to heal my gut or how to do it. Heck, I am 19 so I was just frustrated I was having these problems. So I found Robyn on instagram and ordered her book right away. I couldn't stop reading it and it really was so amazing. I can't say that it healed my digestion system but it most certainly helping it and ALSO helped me come to peace that it doesn't have to be completely perfect and that it is a work in progress all the time. Her book makes you feel like you have someone on your side and that you aren't alone which in that time of my life I so greatly needed. Now, I wouldn't say my gut problems are completely gone, nor are my stress levels completely gone, or is my eating disorder completely gone. But they all have made tremendous progress and that's what it's all about right?? I now am more at peace with all of it then I ever will be and am reminded that some days WILL be better than others and I need to accept that. Thank you so much Robyn for everything. If you haven't ordered this book yet, PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and order it. It will help you with whatever you are struggling with.

Only diet that has worked for me! But advice lacked credibility!
I am having problems with acid reflex, and a hiatal hernia. Prilosec doesn't completely cut it. I had my gallbladder taken out because it up and stopped working and wouldn't allow bile to pass through. There was not one gallstone. This is called biliary dyskinesia. The biopsy of the gallbladder showed that the bile was much too thick. In addition, the ducts in the gallbladder also refused to open and close properly. The biopsy of the guts showed some diverticulitis, and I was advised to eliminate every day. Of course, I had constipation, and couldn't do this. The gallbladder was removed, and consequently I lost some weight because the bile was moving again. But it still wasn't moving fast enough. Hey, most people have diarrhea after gallbladder was removed. No not me. I had the opposite problem. My research also showed that there was a direct correlation between slow moving bile, and too much acid in the stomach. My research also showed that too thick of bile can cause weight issues. In addition, I am borderline diabetic and need to watch my sugar levels. Some but not all of my digestion problems improved after surgery. The doctor told me that if I would lose weight this would help the acid reflux, and the hernia. I had a gut feeling (yes, I intentionally used a pun) that it wasn't the weight that was causing the acid reflux. It was the lack of complete digestion causing the weight. I instinctively knew that if I solved one problem, I would solve the other. I needed to get the bile thinned out, and flowing again. I saw the author on Channel 15 News give a book review. The commentator and the author stated that their problems with weight both started with too many antibiotics upsetting the antibiotic flora in the intestines. That's when my digestion problems really started also. I had a gut feeling (another pun) watching the author that this diet would be the answer to my prayers about my poor unhappy gut, and the weight. I have been phasing in the diet gradually as too much probiotics at one time can cause diarrhea, and other issues. With this diet, I am slowly seeing the constipation problem disappear, the acid reflux improve, the bile flowing again, my sugar levels evening out, and the weight slowly come off. I love the recipes in the book. Very tasty, very filling, satisfying, and effective. I am not hungry on this diet. I can see how I can easily adapt some of my existing recipes in order to follow her guidelines. It wasn't a coincidence that I turned the television on at the exact moment of the book review. It was planned by Divine Providence. I am very analytical, and thus I'm giving her 4 out of 5 stars because of her lack of credentials in the writing of this book. I couldn't quite just believe her that it was hey, try this diet, it worked for me! Really, how many diet books out there make this claim! There was not one before, and after picture. Hey, the author's after picture looked good. How much weight did the author lose? We readers don't know. I had to research everything she recommended to see where she drew her suppositions from. She lacked credibility. She had experience, but no education in nutrition. After some internet research, I realized some of her recommendations in the book were drawn from ancient Ayurvedic wisdom for weight loss, and digestion. Some of her other recommendations, liked the Aloe Vera juice were supported in scientific research. She also advocates food on the lower level of the glycemic spectrum which is good for pre-diabetics, and people who want to lose weight. This diet is also in the whole food diet category, and there's tons of existing research in this arena. What was really great was she put it all together for me in some really tasty recipes, and advice! What wasn't good was she didn't back everything up. I wished she would have included footnotes or endnotes, or at least mentioned her sources in the body of the text itself. I will probably eventually buy her other books for more recipes. Anyway because of the lack of credibility, I am giving her a 4 out of 5 for this book review.

Heal your gut; heal your life!
Robyn is so relatable and shares her knowledge about health, nutrition and overall wellness (and of course such amazing, delicious and easy to prepare recipes) both authentically and with enormous passion to help us make the mind, body and gut connection we need in order to be our healthiest selves. This helps us to not only lose weight, but to figure out what it actually is that is weighing us down. It’s not just about weightloss, it’s about overall health and feeling good inside our bodies. I’ve been following Robyn since before she published her first book “Go with your gut.” Her insights, knowledge, recipes and tips have helped me so much especially in transforming my gut health for which I am forever grateful. Can’t wait to share this amazing book with my friends!

I really like the recipes in this book
I really like the recipes in this book, but I thought it was more of a mental/emotional aspect of dealing with weight, but most of the book is recipes.

Must read for good gut health!
I ordered this book when I started having some serious and painful stomach issues. I followed along for the 3-Day Gut Reset. LISTEN UP. On day one after I had my warm lemon water and then power parfait I made the mistake of biking the 9 miles to work...let’s just say this gut reset works great and it was almost a very bad day for me. After the reset was over I was feeling so much better. I had so much more energy. I haven’t felt that energized since 2 kids ago. The recipes I have tried in the book are AMAZING! I have HATED sauerkraut for years, I can now say that I love it! I love the way it was written. It was perfect, it was like she was right there talking to me in person. After years of struggling with negative body image views of myself, Robyn helped me look at myself and food with a new set of eyes. I enjoy feeding my family healthy meals that will fuel them. Her good gut rule of 5 plate is such an easy reminder on how to fill your plate with the right things! This book is a must read!!

Favorite Healthy Lifestyle book
Don't let the title fool you. This book is not all about being thin or skinny. There is a wealth of information in this book about eating the right foods for your body and to make you feel good. I really like the way Robyn brings in emotional health as part of the weight-loss journey. I came across Robyn as a guest on a podcast and I am so glad I did. I definitely recommend this book to people whether you are trying to lose weight, learn how to listen to your body, or just want some general well-being and self-care advice.

Beautifully written book - Robyn is informative and totally relatable. Don't be distracted by the title and the word 'thin', its not about getting thin its about a state of mind. I strongly recommend this for anyone wanting to connect with themselves and understand what foods work for their body. Robyn has a fabulous FB group too and there are regular 'reset' times. Having a community beside you while starting can be super helpful too. Definitely one of the best books I've bought.

Finally found something that works - on so many levels
I can't believe how enlightening this book was. I bought it because I wanted to finally find a way of eating, dealing with food and nurturing my body that made me feel good. But this was so much more than that. Through this book I not only found a way of eating and dealing with food, but a way to dealing with my inner self, my body and my mind feel regenerated. I finally learned to listen to myself... I finally feel like I'm on their right path and it couldn't have been possible without "Thin From Within" and "Go With Your Gut" by Robyn Youkilis. From the Power Parfait to the rule of 5... everything that comes out from this book is golden. The only thing I can say is get it and see it for yourself. A must have for anybody who wants to feel good with themselves, their body and their nutrition.

What a breath of fresh air this book and Robyn is! Want to bring more ease, simplicity and joy to your eating? Than this is the book for you. Sometimes it just takes learning new small and easy to implement rituals and practices that make the biggest shifts in your life like meal prep hacks, finding your intuitive voice , Robyn’s go with your gut formula, never mind all the delicious recipes!! My fav’s are the power parfait (twin toddler approved), healing greens soup, magical morning Matcha and warm cauliflower salad. I find the recipes are simple, satisfying and most important delicious!! Also don’t forget to give Robyn a follow on social for a feed bursting with whit, wisdom and wonder. I have been following her for years and both of her books are a testament to the depth of her knowledge, love of her community and passion for health and wellness. Obviously can’t say enough for team go with your gut ;) Snap up a copy today, you won’t be disappointed!!

The stars aligned when I came across you, and your book. I found you through your episode on The Almost 30 Podcast, and it was like it was meant to be. I have been struggling with acne, and (now realizing) gut health for a very long time and was finally starting to look into it - and I heard you in the Podcast. Your book and all the amazing information in it has given me the confidence that I can take the steps in fixing the issues that so many doctors have just given me a perscription for.
