The 15mm Angled Valve can be mounted vertically or horizontally on flow or return. Quite reasonably priced, they were quite easy to install - I particularly liked: - that you can use a normal spanner to tighten the section that goes into the radiator - the material isn't easily marked from tightening (pay attention Danfoss with the ras-c2) - no leaks - everything seals easily - doesn't matter which way the flow direction is - this valve just works - that helps also with allowing horizintal or vertical arrangement - easy to set a max temp on each head In use they're pretty good - instantly provided regulation to the rooms. My only negatives are: - that they appear cheap e.g. the knurled screw to attach the head to the valve body is obviously chrome-effect plastic - but no-one is really going to see that.... - the manual talks about a balancing function integral to these which I was curious to try, but it requires an obscure tool to do it. No harm - the other end of rad has a balancing valve... Sadly you can't buy just the top part as a replacement you have to buy the entire valve, however the entire thing is still the same as it was 10 years ago so you can just throw away the metal pipework part and fit the top plastic part onto your existing valve.
