However, when I looked at the boxes more closely, they seemed quite flimsy, especially around the rims which are poorly moulded and very thin. My concerns about the strength of these boxes were proved right now that I have tried packing them with books, The result: One box is now already badly cracked under the rim and part of the handle has broken off (leaving a sharp edge) after a short move from one place to another. I fear a similar fate for the others. I had hoped to store them in the roof space, but considering the low-grade plastic I would imagine there may be problems with ongoing temperature extremes which may cause the plastic to become even more brittle and easily cracked. I have other similar boxes which were only slightly more expensive, but the moulding around the rim and handles is so much better.
