They are double ply, sewn around the edges and seem to be organic cotton as advertised. I washed them just to be sure to get any chemicals out, but they seemed clean when they arrived. I didn’t notice any fragrance and they are super soft. I will probably fold them in half to use for my belly castor oil packs, but they are a great size and could be used on a wide variety of areas including shoulders, elbows, knees and feet which is why I am going to buy more right now because I will certainly use them at some point.
