The OEM halogen bulb was just too hot and inefficient, so much so that the entire bottom of the microwave was hot to the touch. I got this LED bulb and was happy ... while it lasted. It went kaput in just a few months. There is a low and high setting on the LG microwave. The low setting would cause the LED to flicker - annoying, so I never used this setting. The high mode was fine, no problems. I just wish it lasted longer. Also, I had to put a small spot of superglue to the base of the bulb to mount it to the microwave outlet, otherwise, it kept coming loose. The pegs at the end of the bulb aren't long enough. Problems, problems, problems. If it would have lasted 5+ years, like all LED manufacturer's claim, I would have given it 5 stars despite the minor annoyances. ### ⭐⭐ started out OK *by B***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2019* These were bought for an under counter light over the stove but do flicker. OK at first but would flicker very badly if dimmed. After 6 mos one dropped to about 25% output. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Worked fine for a few months *by G***K on Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2018* Bright light, dimmable, a little bit of flicker but not enough to be an issue. certainly cooler and less energy use than halogen. I'm on the second one now since the first one failed after about 4 months.
