There was a lot I couldn’t play on my favourite guitar because of the floating trem and locking nuts. So I finally bought one of these little beauties. Fitting it was very easy and there’s a few good videos online to help. I put a small piece of wood in the back to block the trem (I’ve seen some people use coins) took the E string off, quickly screwed in the EVH d tuna and popped the string back in. Pull it out and tune to a D then push in just enough to lift the fine tuning screw then use the hex key to fine tune the E. I take a bit of fiddling to get it just right, 10 min or so. But now it’s perfect and I can drop to D and back to E in a second without effecting the other strings. It looks like there’s contact between it and the back of the trem.** A: The D-tuna does not scratch your trem and should be used with a trem that divebombs only! It's not for floating trem unless you want route the guitar trem cavity! Hope this helps... I have them on my EVH Wolfgang's and the trem just divebomb, if you set it to float when you pulled up it would hit the body! **Q: Can it be installed on late 80s RG types?** A: Probably not. They can only be installed on Floyd Rose original bridges that are not recessed. It worked on my tele style charvel but not my strat style. **Q: Hey, ship to mexico city?? The tremolo is by Ibanez, which they call "Edge III", and is similar to a Floyd Rose.** A: Late answer, but maybe it'll help others. I had it installed on 2 different Ibanez guitars with the Original Edge tremolo in a recessed route and it works fine.
