It required breaking in but it was okay later on.
Took a little time to break in, especially the arch support. It was quite high and pained for a couple of days though I have normal arches and am not flat footed. After the breaking in, it has become extremely comfortable. My previous pair was also Salomon and had the same lacing system but this pair seems to have laces which work smoother.
