Basic Glass Fusing (How To Basics)

I bought this book so I could have a ready reference on my Kindle/iPad. Ms. Haunstein has put together an excellent reference with enough schedules and tips to get one started and increase the chance of success from the outset. I have been working with fused glass about 3 years, but still learned some new tricks. Images are clear, as is the prose. The fusing schedules are conservative, just right for a beginner who wants “immediate gratification”. Highly recommended.

This book was so much fun to read and follow to do fused glass. I started doing it over a year ago with friends and we needed more! It has the charts for the kiln which is something I was really looking for. Such beautiful glass inside and so inspirational!! Since we have not been together as a group the skills were starting to fad away. Now I have a small studio and ready to go again!!

"Basic Glass Fusing" is a great name for this book - it shows lots of different projects and gives precise details and pictures for each project. As I am new to glass fusing, I learned several helpful fusing tips and techniques from this book, and would recommend it to any beginner.

Great book. I have read a couple of books about stain glass and this book gave me more information on cutting glass. Very well rounded information on the tools needed for fusing, kiln choices and timing. It also includes some great starting project with templates. This is the prefect book to get started with. Next up for me is purchasing a kiln.

I’m thinking about starting this hobby, and this was a great first book on the topic. The author is very clear and concise, the pictures are excellent.

The author is very knowledgeable and provides very clear details and photos for each process. There are a lot of great ideas in this book and if you don't have the imagination to expand from there, shame on you. I now have so many ideas floating about in my head! I think this book has inspired me to become a glass worker.

This book was not as basic as I had hoped it would be. I wanted something that assumed no real knowledge of glass fusing. This book had some information, but was mostly made up of projects and plans for fused work. Maybe I should look for "An Idiot's Guide to Fusing".

I’ve purchased several books and this is the BEST book to learn by. This one book replaces all the others. I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone learning to fuse glass.

Bought for someone who has been fusing for about a year. There was new information they found they could use.

This is even better than the first book , great patterns for future projects.

As it says on the front cover " All the skills and tools you need to get started" and I welcomed the clear instructions on cutting different glass shapes.There were 18 projects to choose from and, while they may not suit everyone they give you ideas so that you can adapt them and go and do your own thing. The book is printed on quality paper and the illustrations are very clear and detailed.
