I installed the light in the utility room first. Installation was a breeze, but it only illuminates the immediate area where it's located, and it casts shadows on surrounding areas and objects. After that experiment I installed the light in the hallway. The hallway is a smaller area and the light is perfectly suited for that location. It's not too bright, and shadows are minimal. The light is about the size of a smoke detector, it fits flush against the ceiling, and it has a nice clean look. There's a millisecond lag when the light is powered on which is not a big deal.
