Who Built The Moon? (White

Very different to previous albums by The Chief, but not detrimentally so. The influence of David Holmes is clearly evident. Noel’s White Album to Chasing Yesterday’s Sgt Pepper’s. A move in another direction. If you stand still, you go backwards, and Noel is definitely not standing still. Superb.

Have seen some of the reviews on this, and iam surprise by the way some people don't like it at all. It's not his best but he's doing something new and I think that's a good thing. Dead in the water is my favourite on album. Looking forward to hearing him live next year.

A further shift away from Oasis and in my view a positive one, a very refreshing sound. Still a hint of Beatles in there which I love and it grows on you.

I can't stop playing this excellent album.Another brilliant production from NG and his High Flying Birds.Really like It's A Beautiful World (track 4) what a stunning song.Can't enthise about this album enough, if you like Oasis, LG or NG this album will be a perfect addition to your collection.

It took a few listens to get into this album but i gotta say i think it's brilliant. Loads of people are not having this album, yes it's different to what Noel has done previously with Oasis and his 2 previous solo albums but isn't it better to try something different rather than being stereotyped for one type of music. Let's not forget The Beatles changed their musical style with each album, so good on Noel for expanding musically.

Love this album but in hindsight i would have bought the standard album as i thought being the deluxe edition it would have more tracks but the only difference is a well designed booklet.I'm still happy with it just a liitle disappointed.

Not quite 5 stars. Something just lacking. Still enjoyable. Just wish Noel had release the CD he was going to. Was supposed to have been dance /ambient. Will that ever come out?

Incredible.. as always.. cannot fault Mr Gallagher.. he's a music God and I thank God he's here!

Also eins vorne weg, wer Ähnliches wie das Debut oder Chasing Yesterday erwartet haben sollte, sollte lieber die Finger von dem Album lassen. Für mich persönlich ganz schwere Kost und eine bittere Enttäuschung. Bereits nach dem Opener wird klar: Hier ist was anders & zwar gewaltig. Experimentieren & Weiterentwickeln ist ja ganz schön. Aber echt jetzt?! Team Noel, was habt ihr euch denn dabei gedacht? Ich will mehr 'If I Had a Gun...' oder 'Record Machine' oder 'Lock all the Doors' oder 'The Mexican' oder oder oder. Stattdessen muss man beim Anhören von 'Who Built the Moon' Angst haben, der Weihnachtsmann ('If Love Is The Law') kommt auf einem Rodeo-Festival ('Black & White Sunshine') vorbei. Wobei mich 'Black & White Sunshine' zuerst hat Hoffnung auf Besserung schöpfen lassen - aber dann der Refrain... Oh wei oh wei - Noel, das kannst du besser! Das Debut war schon Kracher, Chasing Yesterday eine ECHTE Weiterentwicklung, praktisch zwei Perlen im Plattenregal. Sorry, aber Who Built the Moon kann da echt nicht mithalten & da gibt's auch nix schön zu reden. Klar gibt es lichte Momente wie 'The Man Who Built The Moon', aber sorry Leute, da sind wir schon bei Track 10 von 11. Also hier mein Fazit: 2 Sterne für eine wie immer nette CD-Box-Gestaltung & Track 10. Was bleibt ist die Hoffnung, dass dies ein einmaliger Ausrutscher war & wir uns mit dem nächsten Album wieder auf Grandioses vom wahren genialen Kopf der Gallaghers freuen dürfen!

Je souhaite obtenir ce nouvel album du chanteur Noel Gallagher, ancien chanteur du groupe anglais Oasis et frère (ennemi) de Liam Gallagher. Voici mon avis après plusieurs écoutes de cet album.Nous nous retrouvons avec un très très joli album CD. Format 14.5 x 13.5 x 1.0 cm, il est vraiment très beau. Protégé sous blister à la réception, on y découvre à l'intérieur un livret avec de belles images et photos et un CD de couleur orange. L'album intitulé "Who Built the Moon?" inclus 11 chansons + un bonus issu d'un live enregistré.Les musiques sont typique de l'univers musicale de Noel Gallagher. A la fois très moderne par l'apport d'instru très rythmique et moderne mais aussi pop comme c'est si bien le faire le chanteur, j'apprécie beaucoup ces nouveaux titres (notamment "Holy Mountain" et "The man who built the moon"). J'aime beaucoup écouter de la musique en fond quand je travaille et cet album est vraiment parfait. Les titres ne se ressemblent pas et c'est une très bonne découverte musicale.Conclusion : N.Gallagher nous emporte dans son monde avec sa musique tantôt rock et pop, tantôt psychédélique. Nach dem Zerfall von Oasis habe ich mich nicht sonderlich für das Solo-Schaffen der Gallagher Brüder interessiert und bin eher durch Zufall auf dieses Werk von Noel Gallagher gestoßen und wurde mehr als nur positiv überrascht. Als einer der "nur" Oasis kannte war ich hocherstaunt, wie vielseitig und vielschichtig Noel Gallagher ist, als Anhörtipp kann ich gleich die ersten beiden Nummern empfehlen, vor allem Fort Knox finde ich grenzgenial. Mittlerweile habe ich mir alle Solo-Werke von Noel und Liam Gallagher besorgt und wurde nicht enttäuscht.

È un disco che prende le distanze da ciò che siamo stati abituati ad ascoltare fino ad ora, quindi di primo acchito può lasciar perplesso l'ascoltatore: per apprezzare la nuova fatica targata Noel Gallagher l'orecchio e la mente hanno bisogno di entrare nel giusto mood. Il mio consiglio è premere play al termine dell'ultimo brano e ricominciare da capo ascoltando le tracce più di una volta. Però, se non vi conquista alla terza o quarta volta, vuol dire che questo tipo di sound non fa per voi. (:

Brilliant, Excellent, Great........super Scheibe. Weiterentwicklung. Mutig. Modern. Das ist ein top Beispiel von Weiterentwicklung. Alles richtig gemacht. Mischung aus Britpop und coolem Chillout. Sicher sind die alten Sachen, die Oasis Sachen, die beiden Vorgängerscheiben, das was man erwartet, aber ohne Pioniere steht die Zeit still.

J'espérais beaucoup de cet album, à la suite du passage de Noël Gallagher dans "Quotidien". Le morceau interprété me paraissait très inspiré, digne d'un bon Beatles de derrière les fagots.A l'écoute du cd, ce fut par contre une véritable épreuve.Qu'est-ce que c'est que cette mode de rajouter du son, et encore d'autres sons, et encore et encore, si bien que l'écoute en devient pénible ?Ses compositions se suffisent amplement à elles-mêmes, et seraient bien meilleures avec une production plus sobre. Je suis peut-être vieux jeu, mais je pense que le mixage et la production nuisent à cet album, qui aurait pu rester dans les mémoires en restant simple.Quel gâchis !

Bravo a Noel Gallagher qui a su adapter sa musique à 2017.Contrairement a son frere qui s'englue dans sa nostalgie, il propose un album nouveau. Mis a part 1 ou 2 chansons presque "tradi" le reste est dansant et rock malgré tout.J'adore! Que de bonnes surprises. A ecouter dans son ensemble surtout car le single aurait tendance a paraitre ridiculement hors contexte.

Un misto tra tradizione e innovazione, un sound cosmico bello e divertente. Fort Knox ottima come intro per aprire i concerti, Black & White Sunshine in puro stile Oasis (un grazie anche a Johnny Marr), The Man Who Built The Moon grandiosa e Dead in the Water da brividi. Holy Mountain e It's a Beautiful World sono bei singoli ma ci sono pezzi decisamente migliori! Un album da non perdere!

Il lavoro di Noel lascia intendere una ricchezza di suoni che comprendono l"indie, il twist e il rock'roll mescolati sapientemente per mai annoiare l'ascoltatore. Un bel regalo.

De prime abord décontenancée parce que non ..........ce n'est pas du "OASIS".Ensuite intriguée par le style ( on sent la patte de Mr David Holmes à la prod)Après 3 ou 4 écoutes, je suis totalement envoûtée!Un petit bijou !!!!!!!!!!

Le meilleur album de Noël Gallagher, les deux précédents étaient top celui ci est génial...

changement musical pour Noel GALLAGHER. Très interessant.

....die ersten beiden Alben waren eine typische Noel-Geschichte. Sehr schöne Songs, Gitarren wie gewohnt. Jetzt ist es ein wenig anders. Aber auch gut. Das ganze ist drum+base mäßiger ausgelegt. Alles elektronischer. Zur Mitte und zu Ende wirds dann hier und da "Klassischer" in Richtung Oasis/Noels vorherige Scheiben. Ich denke, für ihn wurde es einfach mal Zeit, was neues zu wagen bzw nicht still zu stehen. Aber das Album ist trotzdem sehr hörenswert, nervt keineswegs und lässt sich gut am Stück genießen. Man muss ihm einfach den Freiraum lassen, dann gefällt es einem. Unbedarft rangehen, einfach als eine "neue" CD hören, nicht als Noesl Album Nr. 3. Wenn einem die Richtung vorher gefallen hat, sollte man hier auch klar kommen.
