## Description

Uaoaii heat gun corded

Review: This battery-powered heat gun is SO much nicer to use than the corded one we had been using! The power cord on our old one was very thick and so super stiff, it was difficult to straighten it out - it always wants to curl back up, tipping the heat gun over. Very dangerous when the tip was hot! The kit includes 5 different nozzles that press ON/OFF, a battery charger, two 21v lithium-ion batteries, instructions, and a really nice plastic storage case with pin-type catches and hinges... not just a molded plastic hinge that wears out and breaks after a few uses. The batteries include a push-button power meter, and both batteries arrived fully charged. They are very similar configuration to 18v Makita batteries - in fact, we plugged a Makita 18v battery into the heat gun and it worked perfectly. I'm not recommending to do this - the item description states the device is 21v, but the instructions in the kit list it as 18v. So it's unclear what the true safe voltage range for the heat gun is. There were two instruction booklets included - a simplistic one in black and white, and a more in-depth color version. Neither is really necessary since it is so easy to operate. The heat gun looks like a cordless drill, and operates in similar fashion. You must push a safety button (which is normally Forward/Reverse on a drill), then pull the trigger to turn the heat on. There is a trigger lock button that allows the heat gun to be used hands-free. While the heat gun itself weighs next to nothing, the weight of the batteries in the base makes it VERY stable to use with no hands! It can be used upright (nozzle pointing horizontally) or laying on its back (nozzle pointing vertically). There is even a handy little LED worklight that shines on whatever you are heating up. The nozzles are slightly smaller than the ones on our corded Wagner. But the metal portion of the heat gun nozzle is stepped down - so the larger Wagner nozzles actually fit on the heat gun, which might make it possible for me to use other accessories like my paint scraper. The digital readout on the back of the heat gun is easy to see, and includes touchpad buttons to increase/decrease temperature and fan speed. There is also a Hi/Low temp switch on the top of the unit. The touchpad buttons are small, and a bit temperamental. I hope they don't wear out and crack over time and frequent use. Individual push buttons would have been my preference. All the components fit into the storage case securely without banging around. It is a bit tricky getting the long nozzle to fit, but I did get the lid closed positioning it as shown in the picture. So far, we've used this heat gun on shrink tubing for electrical connections, drying paint for crafts, melting ice in our freezer (yep, we still have to defrost our old freezer on occasion), heating vinyl vehicle wrap film, and shrinking plastic wrap on bottle caps. It works as well as our old Wagner, but is much more maneuverable and safer when using it hands-free!
Review: I’m giving this heat gun 3 stars because it’s weaker and takes longer to get up to temperature than my 47.00 Heimerdinger. I was really hoping the Uaoii would be better since I do like their 1000nm 1/2” impact. On the temp gun this one consistently made less heat than the Heimdinger as well. Ended up sending this unit back.
